Abyssinian cats are very popular cats in the United States of America. Abyssinian cats are one of the oldest breeds of cats. Their origin is not known but scientists think they may come from Southeast Asia on the coast of the Indian Ocean. They are very friendly, energetic, and intelligent. Abyssinian's have a tabby, ticked coat. This means that the closer to the cats body the lighter its hair and as you go along the hair it gets darker. They have large expressive almond eyes that are usually come in gold or green. Abyssinian's have pointed ears that makes them look alert. They often don't like being held and are very playful. Abyssinian's are really pretty cats and I think they seem like a super nice cat to own. I wish I could have a whole bunch of cats of all different breeds!
I was sitting and petting one of my kittens on our deck and it was really warm that day. I was sitting in the sun and Ginger , the kitten I was petting, was sleeping on my lap. A little while after he woke up and I started petting him. He rolled onto his back and i started scratching his belly. It was sooo adorable!!! The way he held up his paws was so cute! The picture in this blog is him :)
I'm going to write about some of my old memories with cats and kittens. My grandparents live on a farm and they have outdoor cats that live in a barn. When the cats would have kittens I remember going outside with my cousin and we would play with the kittens. I remember sitting and picking out names for them. There was this one little white and black kitten and she would meow a lot and so my cousin named her Sqeaky. She was so cute and my grandma let us bring Sqeaky inside with a few of the other little kittens and we would feed them cheese whiz because they just licked it up! I also remember my grandparents get an indoor cat and me and all my cousins were all sitting in the kitchen on the floor thinking of names and then for some reason I was thinking of smarties and then I thought up the name Smart Kitty. I don't know why but we named the cat Smart Kitty. I was so happy that they picked my name! Anyways thats it for this post :)
Recently my cat had 2 kittens and they are adorable! One of the cats was a little black and white cat and we named her Bandit. The other kitten was a little light orange cat and we named him Ginger. We didnt actually buy the Mother cat she actually was a stray that wandered into our yard. I was sooo happy when we got to keep the cat. We aren't sure what kind of cat she is, but she is colored like a calico would be. We named the cat Kitty because we have had stray cats that wandered into the yard before, and when we named them they would run away. I also have a dog and she is really nice to the kittens and she is fairly gentle and they're all just so adorable! The kittens are a few months old now and they are so playful and they are growing up and starting to wander around in the snow! I just can't wait until summer when they can run all around the yard! |
